Action is needed this fall to avoid a potential loss of benefits in 2026.
MyCare Ohio is a managed care program designed for Ohioans who receive both Medicare and Medicaid benefits.
Those eligible for MyCare Ohio:
Beginning January 2026, Next Generation MyCare plans will combine all Medicare and Medicaid benefits into a single plan. This change is designed to improve coordination of benefits and support, making it easier for members to get the care they need.
Here's what to expect:
Individuals who are currently enrolled in MyCare Ohio or are eligible for both Medicaid and Medicare—and live in one of the 29 counties shown above—will need to take steps this fall. They will need to select a plan of their choice to ensure continued coverage and the benefits that are important to them.
Don’t wait—upcoming changes could affect coverage, and planning ahead is important to keep care running smoothly.
Failing to act could result in a loss of important benefits. In certain situations, some individuals’ coverage may automatically default to Original Medicare (Part A and B only), which might not meet their care needs.
